The Budapest Diary is proud to announce the next international photography contest for amateur and professional photographers worldwide. What’s the story? explores the ever-so-intriguing question of documentary and portrait photography: What makes the photo so special? What happened during the moment of capture? And what’s the actual story behind it? This exhibition features photos that captured and froze a special moment and photos that had exceptional background stories that make them stand out from the crowds.
The international jury of photographers and designers selected 13 finalist photographers from all parts of the world, including amateurs and beginners as well as professional photographers.
The Budapest Diary is an art gallery startup working towards creating an international and intercultural artists' network on regional and global levels. The aim of the initiative is to connect artists and build bridges between peoples, nations, and cultures by using photography as a lingua franca – a common or bridge language – utilizing it as a form of multi-dimensional communication tool. The gallery promotes active dialogue, inclusivity, diversity, and believes in the long-term effects of soft diplomacy. The gallery is active in organizing art exhibitions & cultural events, public talks and seminars, and establishing open call opportunities for photography lovers.
